Two women born under state-controlled regimes in Eastern Europe retrace their lives from dictatorship to the present, revealing how control over the female body persists in new forms.
Co-directed by Ruxandra Gubernat and Maria Stanisheva. The film brings personal memory, historical archive and animation together across Romania and Bulgaria. Animation direction: Martina Scarpelli.
Selected for the DOK Leipzig Co-Pro Market 2026. Previously selected for BDC Discoveries 2024 under the working title Childless.

A documentary collage tracing the emergence of a culture of protest in Romania through interviews, archive and street imagery.
Co-directed by Ruxandra Gubernat, Henry Rammelt and Marcel Schreiter. The film reconstructs protest waves around Roșia Montană, Colectiv and OUG 13 while critically examining the social worlds that formed around them.
